Jordan Watton is a writer and director whose work is marked by striking cinematic visuals and emotionally charged storytelling. Combining ambitious scale and intimate character moments, his work explores the individual experiences that make us who we are, and the universal truths that connect us. With a bold visual style and an instinct for compelling storytelling, he moves between long-form scripted projects and short-form campaigns.
In 2020, Jordan won AACTA’s Pitch: Isolation development initiative for his feature film Local Hero Saves Family. In 2026, his short film Feral closed its festival run at St Kilda Film Festival, where it was nominated for Best Short Film, Best Cinematography and Best Original Score.
In the commercials space, Jordan has crafted a narrative-driven journey of self-discovery for Singapore Airlines, captured the iconic and lesser known stories of Australia Post’s history and brought intimate, visually driven stories to life for Louis Vuitton and Specsavers. His work balances an elevated execution with a resourceful filmmaking approach and a strong understanding of brand messaging.
